Nicholas Vecchione
Nicholas Vecchione is a fine arts photographer based in Audubon, New Jersey, and has been practicing the craft for over ten years. He specializes in floral and landscape photography, while also maintaining an interest in the creation of obscure and abstract works.
He grew up in Fairview, a small town near Camden, New Jersey. During his adolescents, he enjoyed writing short stories and poetry. His interest in photography began while attending Camden County College, when he took a black and white photography course. This experience opened his eyes to other mediums in which to express his creative self.
He completed his formal training after attending both Camden County College and the Maryland Institute College of the Arts. After obtaining his Associates Degree in the Arts, Nicholas was offered an internship at the Courier Post Newspaper. During his internship, his photographs were featured regularly in the regional newspaper.
Nicholas has continued his education through workshops and independent study.
Nicholas states about his work that “The world is a beautiful place. The many pieces that make up the whole are awesome. Each intricate detail of an object is telling a story of its own, being so much more complex than we could ever imagine. It is these intricate details that I attempt to find and show the beauty in. I strive to dissect a scene and pick out its most interesting parts. These parts are constructed to represent a vision…a vision of a photographer searching for his own beautiful contribution in a world that is as beautiful as a flower.”
